To Mexico!

After a whole week in Houston, Don is ready to continue his tour of Southern Texas this afternoon. He called last night to say that they had talked to John Villanueva. His house received no damage from Ike. He didn't even lose power. He will be ready to head to Mexico at around 3 pm today. They plan to get to the border tonight so that first thing tomorrow, they can get their paperwork done and cross the border. They hope to make it to Tampico, Mexico by Monday night. That is the tentative plan. Through all of this week in Houston, we are reminded that often our plans are not the same as the Lord's. In Isaiah 55:9 it says "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Don and John have a plan but they know the Lord has a plan and it is preferable to theirs. We will trust in the Lord and follow the path that He sets before them.

I have put a link here for a map of the journey to the border and to the first stop in Mexico which is Tampico. I will try to put the next leg in as he travels. Thanks for praying and reading!
