At the Border

Don and John arrived at Harlingen, TX last night at about 8:30 pm. This is a US border town where the transmigrante office is located. They will have to go to the transmigrante office this morning and fill out paperwork. People have told Don to expect this to take 2-3 hours. It depends on the number of people also waiting to fill out paperwork. Then they will have to get their trucks in line to cross over on the bridge into Mexico. This could also take 2 hours or so. They are hoping to get into Mexico by noon. They want to travel all the way to Tampico tonight and it is about 8-9 hours. (see map link on last posting)

I called Don quick this morning and found out that it was raining there and at 7 am there was no waiting on the bridge. They were headed to the transmigrante office when I called him. Don is almost "giddy". I know that isn't very masculine but that is the best word to describe him. I think he is excited to be moving forward. It sounds like John and he are having a good time. I will keep you posted! Thanks for reading.
