It has been too busy for a blog post lately!! The Knutsons arrived on Saturday and then all 17 of us headed to the children's home. We have been running ever since!
We had Sunday to get settled, meet the kids and go to market. The workers left Monday morning for their time away. The younger kids have not had school all week which means more activities to keep them occupied! The AR team was up for the challenge. They brought so many great games and activities for the kids plus loads of candy!! Our days have been busy but good. We are on the last night which is our triple-feature movie night!
The youngest kids started at about 4:30 pm with UP. We are currently on our second movie - Despicable Me 2. Here is a picture of the large scene - notice we are outdoors! The temperature is about 68 (estimated by Brother Stephen!!) and the kids are a little chilly!
The team is cleaning up the 'concession stand' and getting a chance to hop on the internet. The AR team leaves tomorrow so they wanted to know the temperature at home. It will be a little bit of an adjustment for them!
We served the kids grilled cheese, salami sticks, popcorn, candy and pop!!
This is our last night at the children's home. The AR team will leave here at about 11:30 am so they can fly down to Guatemala City to catch their flight home. The workers should return sometime in the afternoon/evening and then the rest of us will return to Canilla. It has been a great trip. Thanks for all of your prayers and support.
