Prayer Room!

Adonai (with the help of many!!) filled a container with plumbing and other hospital construction supplies and shipped it down to Guatemala in early March.  Everything was all going great - in fact, the container arrived at port earlier than expected!

The container has to make it through customs before we can transport it up the mountains to our location.  We thought all was going well until the container got a 'red light' which means that they want to open it up and inspect it all.  We sent our driver to go get it from the port to take it to the inspection site when some other drivers decided to start a 'protest'.

The demonstration shut down the port before our driver could get to our container.  We are not sure how long this will last and then we will still have to have the inspection where they will decide if we valued it correctly.  If not, they will assess more taxes before the container is released.  Meanwhile, we have a team of plumbers here who were planning on doing the rough-in plumbing on the hospital with all of the supplies in the container!

Anyway, this is typical Guatemala!  And the Lord used these 'complications' to put His focus and His plan in front of us!

Since the plumbers cannot do the majority of the plumbing (supplies stuck in the container), today they are pouring the flatwork for the rooms that have the least amount of plumbing!  A.k.a - the prayer room!!! Kyla took these awesome photos on the hospital property this morning!

Getting the dirt ready.

First pour!

In all honesty this gives me goosebumps and makes my eyes well up!  We only want His priorities and His plans!  This is about so much more than a hospital.  May His Name be glorified in that prayer room and all the rooms!

"But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15

And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord
    to minister to him,
to love the name of the Lord,
    and to be his servants,
all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it
and who hold fast to my covenant—
these I will bring to my holy mountain
and give them joy in my house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and sacrifices
    will be accepted on my altar;
for my house will be called
a house of prayer for all nations.”
Isaiah 56:6-7

BOLD emphasis is mine! ;)
