Time at the Home - Part I

As I mentioned in a previous post, we went to the children's home last Saturday afternoon and returned to our rental house on Monday night. We went to spend time with the kids, the staff and Norm and Vickie Sutton who are serving there full-time. Our goal is to be a blessing and an encouragement so we offered to take the 3 month old baby for the nights that we were staying.

Here is Alicia. Isn't she a doll? Obviously, this was not that much of a sacrifice on our part! : ) Although Don was a little worried about me getting "baby fever" and asked me about it after the first night. Nope - no desire for number 5! A temporary baby is just about right at this point.

Our kids jumped right in on the first night with a "in the dark" soccer game on the basketball court.

Here are a couple pictures of the kids.
Santiago is a quiet boy with a very sweet disposition. Isn't he cute?

Josefa is new. She has had a rough life but seems to be enjoying the home. Her mom did come to visit her while we were there.

Adriel is the youngest son of Sebastian and Oralia, the directors of the Home. He was just a baby the first time we went to Guatemala. Samuel really enjoys playing with him - once they warm up to each other.

We finally got everyone settled down and in for the night. We had two full days ahead of us and we all needed some sleep.
